The rookie sensation Victor Wembanyama has been the focal point of almost every narrative surrounding the San Antonio Spurs in 2023–2024. It makes sense since he appears to live up to the enormous, generation-spanning fanfare that accompanied his entry into the NBA.

However, Jeremy Sochan is also a very talented young player. The Spurs are banking on the Polish youngster, who is in his second year, to mature into a star if this youthful core turns out to be a championship team in the future.

However, the 6’10 forward’s highlight video was created for a purpose unrelated to his developing game. Rather, he took some popcorn, kissed a gentleman, and leaped into the stands after a loose ball. Look it over.

When that fan entered the Frost Bank Center on Wednesday, I bet he had no idea he would be kissed by a San Antonio Spurs fan.

Naturally, the Spurs lost to the Heat since they are among the NBA’s weakest teams. Jeremy Sochan also had a poor performance, scoring 6 points on 3-7 shooting, 3 assists, 5 rebounds, and 3 steals.

However, he has made strides this season, averaging nearly four assists, six rebounds, and eleven points per game on much improved three-point shooting. In fact, early in the season, the squad tried out Sochan as a point forward. He undoubtedly gained priceless playmaking talents, even though they decided not to play him there.

The Spurs are currently 10–41. However, they have one of the best coaches of all time in Victor Wembanyama, a solid young core, and another top choice on the horizon. It might be far worse.
