Now that Moussa Djenepo has been at Standard Liege for a few months, the club has spent €3.5 million to sign him from Southampton.

The midfield player has started in the majority of the Belgian team’s games since his return, but he has only made 19 appearances without contributing a goal or an assist.

Even worse, DH in Belgium has recently reported that there were some concerns over his physical condition when he was moving from Southampton.

Although Djenepo had his medical examinations before joining with Standard Liege, according to the story, some people connected to the team believe he “failed” a portion of the exams.

The medical team of the club reportedly voiced their “serious reservations” regarding his signing, given the significant financial outlay that the Belgian club would be making.

Even yet, Standard Liege persisted in wanting him to come, and Djenepo has shown himself to be physically capable of supporting them this season, even though the production hasn’t been as strong.

After leaving Southampton in 2018 after signing a €15.7 million contract, the attacker finished his career with five goals and five assists in 91 games.
