Although Tuscaloosa’s weekend wasn’t as hectic as it has been so far this year, the news didn’t stop coming in.

With the signing of Michigan State offensive lineman Geno VanDeMark on Saturday and Penn State safety King Mack on Friday, Alabama delved back into the portal twice. With the return of Iowa offensive tackle Kadyn Proctor, Charlotte defensive back Kameron Howard, Lou Groza award winner Graham Nicholson, and Wake Forest cornerback DeShawn Jones, the Crimson Tide now have up to six players to their roster via the spring transfer portal. This past weekend, Howard, who pledged to Alabama without ever going there, was on campus. Alabama’s transfer portal movement is almost done, pending South Alabama linebacker Khalil Jacobs’ final decision.

The roster appears to be ready to go after Kalen DeBoer and the other staff members rectified issues during the spring transfer portal window. Over the past several weeks, the coaches have also been actively seeking new recruits. They have followed up with a number of five-star prospects, targets who have committed to other schools, and numerous others.
