The University of Wisconsin football team, led by Luke Fickell, proceeded to construct its 2025 class.

Brenden Anes, a player from Fred J. Page High School in Franklin, Tennessee, declared his commitment to Wisconsin on Monday. Anticipated to fill the role of field outside linebacker for the Badgers, Anes stands at 6 feet 2 inches and weighs 220 pounds according to Hudl.

The recruit attended Wisconsin’s junior day event on January 13, and he previously visited Madison for the Badgers’ home game against Iowa in October. Anes, recognized as a three-star recruit by 247Sports and Rivals, received Division 1 Class 5A all-state honors from the Tennessee Football Coaches Association in 2023. His list of FBS offers includes Charlotte, Duke, Indiana, Liberty, Memphis, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Wake Forest, Western Kentucky, and Wisconsin.

Anes becomes the seventh verbal commitment for the Badgers’ 2025 class, joining other recruits such as quarterback Landyn Locke, defensive back Remington Moss, offensive lineman Michael Roeske, inside linebacker Cooper Catalano, and safeties Cody Haddad and Jai’mier Scott. The decisions of Haddad, Scott, and Anes were all announced within the past week.
