Two hawks players have received coaches’ votes following their performances in Adelaide.

Hawthorn players Blake Hardwick and Will Day earned coaches’ votes for their performances in the team’s narrow one-point loss to Yartapuulti on Sunday afternoon at Adelaide Oval.

Hardwick, tied as the highest-ranked player on the field, received eight votes after scoring a career-high five goals. The 27-year-old also had 23 disposals, nine score involvements, six marks, four tackles, and 526 metres gained.

Will Day earned two votes for his standout performance against the Power. The 22-year-old, playing his best game since returning from a foot injury, recorded 27 disposals, five tackles, five clearances, four marks, and 534 metres gained. Day also scored a remarkable goal in the third quarter, maneuvering around two Yartapuulti players for his first goal of the year.

The Hawks will look to rebound against Brisbane at Marvel Stadium on Sunday afternoon during the Sir Doug Nicholls Round.
