We must take a big step! Tyleik Williams Reflects Buckeyes’ All-or-Nothing Worldview
Tyleik Williams, a defensive tackle for the Ohio State Buckeyes, called a few of his old and current teammates to see if he should play again.
Tyleik Williams is aware of the stakes for the upcoming campaign.
During his first media appearance of the spring, the Ohio State Buckeyes defensive tackle told reporters that everything would depend on what happened in 2024. Williams stated that the Buckeyes, including himself and his senior teammates as well as the freshmen, are prepared to go above and beyond to win the game.
“Everyone is working harder, we know this is our last run,” Williams stated. “After today, most of us won’t have any more years. We’re not trying to go home; we have to go big or go home.”
The native of Manassas, Virginia then discussed his choice to take part in the run for the national championship. Williams claims that before formally announcing his decision, he conferred with a number of his current and past teammates while on vacation.
“They basically told me ‘Why not come back?'” Williams stated. “‘We can accomplish great things because we have a strong team returning.’ In other words, I reasoned, why not? The NFL is not going away. Before the following year, I can continue to grow and discover new things with each year.”

Williams will be crucial to Ohio State’s comeback effort in the upcoming campaign. The previous season was among the first in recent memory where the defense nearly single-handedly won some of the games.
Jim Knowles, the defensive coordinator for the Buckeyes, is aware that this year will be no different. Knowles will need to rely on Williams and his other seniors to build on his successful season in 2024.
