In Sherrone Moore’s inaugural offseason as head coach, the Michigan Wolverines have emphasized power football and have set their sights on acquiring talented offensive linemen. Recently, Michigan emerged as a top contender for Michael Carroll, a four-star offensive lineman from Doylestown, Pennsylvania, according to Hayes Fawcett, a National recruiting expert for On3.

Carroll has also listed Penn State, Georgia, and Alabama in his top-four choices. According to the 247Sports composite, Carroll ranks just outside the top-200 overall, standing as the 11th best interior offensive lineman and the eighth highest-rated recruit from Pennsylvania.

Carroll’s unplanned visit to Michigan following their victory over Michigan State provided him with the opportunity to meet with head coach Sherrone Moore and offensive line coach Grant Newsome during a recent spring visit. Should he choose to commit to Michigan, he would join four-star Avery Gach as the second offensive line recruit in the class.

Carroll praised Michigan’s dominance and explosiveness during the MSU game, noting Coach Moore’s teachings during his time at Michigan’s camp. His keen interest in Michigan is understandable, given the program’s track record of developing offensive linemen into NFL prospects and their consistent success in the trenches over the past three seasons.
