Brandon Hanlan, a striker for Wycombe Wanderers, has updated his recovery from his ACL injury.

Since being gravely injured in the Chairboys’ 1-0 home loss to Stevenage on November 11, 2023, the 27-year-old has not participated in a competitive game of football.

After throwing him to the ground, Boro captain Carl Piergianni gave him some medical attention before having him carried off the field on a stretcher.

As a result, his season—which spanned 19 games and three goals—ended early.
Even though the Wanderers’ season ended a little more than two weeks ago and the players are already on summer vacation, Hanlan is still working on his recuperation.

This summer, the attacker is spending some time at St George’s Park, the England team’s training camp.

Furthermore, despite carrying 60% of his body weight, the former Bristol Rovers player disclosed on social media that he was running for the first time in six months on May 14.

When manager Matt Bloomfield would like the forward to rejoin the team, he made the announcement towards the close of the previous campaign.

“I think it’ll be back end of pre-season,” he stated.
The last thing we want to do is rush him with these things.

“You must complete the lengthy rehabilitation process that comes with this injury carefully.

“We aim to acquire Brandon Hanlan prior to his return from injury.”

We’ve struck a balance between giving him time and anticipating his return, so it might take some time. He’ll have to feel his way back into it.

“He’s putting in a lot of effort behind the scenes, working as hard as he can to complete his work.”

“Having sustained this injury, I am aware of how difficult it is to work out every day in the gym when everyone else is outside getting ready for a game.

“And our goal is to have him back in as soon as possible.”
