One of the Baltimore Orioles’ top starting pitchers may be making his season debut at a perfect moment as they try to take the AL East division by storm.

Baltimore Orioles Could Be Getting Young Star Pitcher Back For Yankees Finale

In an early struggle for control of the AL East, the Baltimore Orioles have not yet decided on a starting pitcher for their series finale against the New York Yankees, their division rivals.

It has, thus far, followed the path of the Orioles. They are now one game ahead of the Yankees at the top of their division after winning the first two games by a combined score of 6-2.

With the potential to win the series, Baltimore hopes to put a dramatic finish to this matchup on Wednesday night by starting their new ace Corbin Burnes.

However, it sounds like one of the Orioles’ top young arms might be making his debut on Thursday during a crucial moment if New York can rally and win the game.

“The position is yet undetermined, however it is assumed that Kyle Bradish will make his debut in 2024. Bradish, who began playing for Triple-A Norfolk on Friday, would be aiming for a few more days off. “Fans and the organization would definitely be happy to see this,”

Fearing he could need Tommy John surgery and lose the entire season, Bradish suffered a severe elbow strain that put him on the injured list during spring training. Rather than doing additional harm, he received therapy with injections of Platelet-Rich Plasma and recovered gradually.

John Means, who finished fourth in the 2023 AL Cy Young competition, is also anticipated to rejoin their rotation shortly, providing Baltimore with their starting lineup for the first time since the beginning of the season.Cole Irvin would start for the Orioles on Thursday if Bradish isn’t given the opportunity as expected.

In order to relieve pressure on his young star, Burnes will try to ensure that his new squad defeats the Yankees in their opening series of the season on Wednesday.
