Leeds Rhinos’ 2025 Super League Lineup: Key Signings and Player Expectations
Leeds Rhinos are gearing up for a fresh start in the 2025 Super League season under the guidance of Brad Arthur, who will be entering his first full year as head coach. With the club’s sporting director, Ian Blease, helping to shape the squad, the Rhinos have made several significant additions to their roster. These include NRL stars Maika Sivo, Ryan Hall, and Jake Connor, alongside forwards Keenan Palasia and Cooper Jenkins. These new faces will bring added depth to the team as they look to strengthen their position in the league.
Key new signings like Maika Sivo are expected to have an immediate impact. The Fijian winger has a remarkable record in the NRL, scoring 104 tries in 115 appearances. His explosive power on the edge, combined with his impressive carries, will provide a strong attacking presence for Leeds. Veteran winger Ryan Hall also returns to Headingley after a six-year absence, bringing experience and a proven ability to score tries. At the same time, Jake Connor’s versatile skill set across multiple positions—half-back, full-back, and centre—will offer the team tactical flexibility.
The Rhinos will also rely on key players who were already at the club, like Harry Newman and Ash Handley. Newman, who impressed during England’s recent Test series, will look to build on his form and solidify his status as one of the competition’s top centres. Handley, another vital player, could see a positional change, moving into the centres to accommodate Sivo’s arrival. This switch could play to Handley’s strengths, given his height and physical presence, adding even more dynamism to the team.
With a strong blend of experienced campaigners and new recruits, the Rhinos will be looking to build on the momentum created under Arthur’s coaching last season. Players like Brodie Croft, Mikolaj Oledzki, and James Bentley will need to step up to ensure the team meets its potential. The arrival of Samoan international Keenan Palasia and Cooper Jenkins from Queensland adds depth to the pack, while fiery hooker Jarrod O’Connor continues to be a key figure in the rotation. With a balanced mix of youth and experience, the 2025 Rhinos are shaping up to be a formidable force in the Super League.
