After watching Rangers forward Hamza Igamane at Ibrox, Everton scouts were “very impressed,” according to TBR Football. The news outlet’s website [17 December] claims that the Blues are expressing a great deal of interest in the 22-year-old in advance of the January transfer window.

With Dominic Calvert-Lewin displaying “no inclination” to sign a new contract at Goodison Park [BBC Sport], Sean Dyche is keen to bring in a new striker. The Toffees have travelled to Scotland in search of a long-term replacement for him. The Friedkin Group’s Everton takeover may determine Calvert-Lewin’s future on Merseyside, but Dyche isn’t wasting any time in preparing the forward line for the future.

The Blues are likely to line up in 2025 with a new focal point for the attack, and Igamane could be the man to lead the line at Goodison Park.

He has not long found himself as the leading man at Rangers, but his performances in the Europa League have not gone unnoticed after following his two goals and one assist in a 4-1 win against Nice with a goal against Tottenham in a 1-1 draw at Ibrox.

Given the Gers’ well-documented financial woes, Everton could tempt the Scottish Premiership outfit to part ways with the Moroccan only five months after his arrival.

While the amount of interest may be daunting, Dyche may have no choice but to fight to convince Igamane to make a move south of the border.

Calvert-Lewin and Beto have mustered only three Premier League goals this term, with the Blues lingering only three points above the relegation zone.
