Chelsea Likely to Sell Mykhailo Mudryk in January Amid Interest from Marseille
Chelsea are reportedly preparing to part ways with winger Mykhailo Mudryk in the upcoming January transfer window. After a challenging period at Stamford Bridge, where the Ukrainian winger struggled to justify his £88 million price tag, the Blues are now looking to move him on, with Ligue 1 side Marseille showing serious interest.
Following Chelsea’s recent captures of Jadon Sancho and Pedro Neto, Mudryk has fallen further down the pecking order, making his departure seem inevitable. The 22-year-old has failed to make a significant impact since his high-profile move from Shakhtar Donetsk, and the club is keen to offload him in hopes of trimming their squad and recouping some of the funds spent.
Reports suggest that Marseille could be a potential destination for Mudryk, where he might join former Manchester United player Mason Greenwood. Greenwood recently made his move to the French club, and the addition of Mudryk could bolster their attacking options. A fresh start in Ligue 1 could be what Mudryk needs to rediscover his form and confidence.
With Chelsea’s focus shifting towards new signings, Mudryk’s exit in January seems likely, marking the end of a short and underwhelming stint in the Premier League. Both clubs will be closely monitoring negotiations as the January window approaches, with Marseille seemingly keen to secure Mudryk’s signature.
