Dak Prescott Becomes NFL’s Highest-Paid Player with Record-Breaking Contract
In a groundbreaking move just hours before the 2024 NFL season opener, Dak Prescott, quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys, signed a historic four-year, $240 million contract extension. The deal, confirmed by Prescott’s agent, Todd France, includes $231 million in guaranteed money, making Prescott the highest-paid player in NFL history. This remarkable contract sets a new benchmark, as Prescott is now the first player to earn an impressive $60 million annually.
At 31, Prescott continues to cement his legacy as one of the league’s top quarterbacks. Last season, he led the NFL with 36 passing touchdowns, a feat no other Cowboys quarterback has ever achieved. Additionally, Prescott tied his career-best with 410 completions, amassing 4,516 passing yards—third most in the NFL. His standout performance also earned him second place in the NFL MVP voting.
With his new contract in place, Prescott and the Cowboys are set to kick off their season against the Cleveland Browns. Fans and analysts alike are eager to see how Prescott will continue to elevate his game as the league’s highest-paid player.
