Hwang Hee-chan, a key player for Wolverhampton Wanderers, has expressed his commitment to the club after rejecting a transfer offer from Marseille over the summer.

Marseille proposed a transfer fee of £21 million for Hwang, but this offer was promptly turned down by Wolves, who made it clear that the player was not available for transfer.

Wolves’ manager, Gary O’Neil, had discussions with Hwang to affirm his value to the team. Despite efforts by Marseille’s coach, Roberto De Zerbi, to persuade Hwang to join his team, the South Korean forward has pledged to fully commit to Wolves for the upcoming season.

Hwang mentioned, “I had numerous conversations with Gary, and De Zerbi was in touch with me almost daily. I placed my trust in Gary, who assured me of my significance to the team and instilled confidence in me.”

He added, “After receiving this assurance, I decided to remain with Wolves and give my utmost effort, just as I did last season. If Wolverhampton wants me to stay, I will stay and put in my best effort.”
