This milestone celebration brought together fans and legends to acknowledge the players who have shaped the club since its inception in 1869. At the top of the list was the iconic Wayne Carey, whose contributions and leadership were pivotal in North’s premierships and his personal accolades.
During the event, Carey reflected on his career and expressed gratitude for Denis Pagan, the coach he credits for building his career. Captaining the club to premierships in 1996 and 1999, Carey also won four best and fairest awards and earned seven All-Australian selections, including four as captain. A panel of experts selected the top ten players based on their on-field impact, with factors like longevity and consistent excellence heavily weighed.
