DONE DEAL: Forward signs contract with the Eels…..
He has played in four international games for Samoa.
As the Parramatta Eels’ rebuild under Jason Ryles gets underway, they have confirmed the re-signing of a crucial forward pack member.
The Eels have officially revealed that Kelma Tuilagi has agreed to a contract extension with the team through the end of the 2026 NRL season, following last week’s announcement of the re-signings of Brendan Hands and Sean Russell.
Tuilagi, who joined the Eels this season with Morgan Harper from the Manly Sea Eagles, has been a vital part of the forward pack and will be trying to secure a spot in the squad for the upcoming campaign under Jason Ryles.
The 25-year-old also played for the Samoan national side four times, all at the 2022 Rugby League World Cup (RLWC), and spent two seasons with the Wests Tigers.
He averaged 91 running metres per game, finished with 1471 total running metres, made 283 tackles, scored three tries, and made four line-breaks in 16 games this season.
In a statement, Eels general manager of football Mark O’Neill said, “Kelma is the kind of player we want in our squad—tough, competitive, and can break a tackle.”
“We’re thrilled to have him on board for at least another year, and he looks at home at the Eels.”
